H.O.P.E.E. Ministries stands for Helping Other People to Excel and Experience God. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We believe and teach from the Holy Bible, with a focus on grace and truth on Monday, and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit on Saturday. Our Theme Scripture is Job 14:7-9 which says "For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will spout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground. Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant." The tree represents the trauma in a person’s life. The scent of water represents the Word of God. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, have the power to heal, resurrect, revitalize and restore us. We are a benevolent ministry that ministers to the whole spirit, soul and body.
What We Believe
We believe in God our Father, Jesus, our Savior and the Holy Spirit, our Comforter-HE leads, directs and guides us. We believe in the HOLY Bible, and teach from the Holy scriptures in our services, and Bible Studies. We believe in educating and training all believers. We believe in enhancing the lives of all persons with disabilities, and by teaching and training
them to fulfill their assignments in the Kingdom of God.
Our Mission
The mission of H.O.P.E.E. Ministries is to create a world of no limits. To teach and advance the abilities and train the inabilities of the blind/visually impaired and physically disabled communities, spirit, soul and physical body (the whole man). We mobilize leaders, with advanced understanding. We champion impactful community spirit, by using all functioning capabilities that are available to enhance their lives.
Meet Our Founders
Gregory Martin
Founder & C.E.O
Gregory Martin is the Founder and CEO of H.O.P.E.E. Ministries. Minister Martin has been
ministering the gospel for over 40 years. As a former soldier of the Marine Corp, Minister
Martin has utilized the disciplinary structure, persistence and tenacity to transform him from
being a soldier in the Marines to being a soldier in the Army of the Lord. Minister Martin loves
the Word of God, and is enthusiastic about teaching its principles to God’s people.
Michele Smith-Hughes
Co-Founder
Michele Smith-Hughes is the Co-Founder of H.O.P.E.E. Ministries. Michele was born and raised
in Washington, DC and attended D.C. schools. She attended the University of the District of
Columbia (UDC), and Reid Temple Bible College in Glendale, Maryland. She worked in the
Federal Government for 30 years. She has been married for 51 years and 3 children. Michele is
a member of the National Federation of the Blind. She became blind in 2004, but despite her
challenges with blindness and hearing loss, Michele continues to strive for excellency in her
endeavors.
